How To Join Us
ABMA welcomes new members and enquiries from anyone interested in the Business Management Advisory profession. In joining you become part of a network of experienced Business Management Advisors who are recognised by their peers.
You can apply to join the ABMA online. Details of our membership types and subscriptions are given below. You will need to be familiar with the ABMA Code of Ethics and Constitution. Both documents are available on the website and can be downloaded.
If you have any questions or would like further information prior to applying, please contact us and we can arrange for you to talk with existing members to discuss the benefits of the Association.
Affiliate membership is only available to those who do not qualify for Associate or Full Membership and/or those with an interest in the advisory profession but who are not currently practising as an advisor.
This includes students and other persons intending to pursue a career in consulting and other stakeholders who may wish to be kept abreast of industry developments and wish to network with management advisors.
A special discount is available to full-time students who are not currently practising as consultants – a Student Declaration is required.
Associate Membership is open to practising management advisors with less than 3 years’ advisory experience and have not yet become a Certified Business Management Advisor. (CBMA)
Membership will be for those who have recently joined the profession and will most likely be working with or alongside a CBMA member. Members will remain as Associate Members until they can demonstrate at least 3 years’ consulting experience and have been granted CBMA status. Achieving these then allows them to be granted Full Membership.
Full membership is open to practising advisors with at least 3 years’ advisory experience that have been granted CBMA status.
Ongoing professional development will be a requirement for all those granted CBMA status and who have become a full member.
